Undercover cops make meth bust in Fernley

FERNLEY - A California man was in custody Friday for allegedly selling methamphetamine to undercover Lyon County deputies.

Antone Coelho, 58, of Oakdale, Calif., was being held on suspicion of felony sale of a controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of sale and possession of methamphetamine.

Officers from the Lyon County Sheriff's Department Narcotics Division along with patrol deputies conducted a "buy bust" from Coelho in the north parking lot of the Silverado Casino in Fernley. Deputies allegedly purchased an undisclosed amount of methamphetamine from Coelho and recovered more from his vehicle.

Lt. Robert Sherlock said Coelho was also arrested in September for trafficking and weapons violations.
