A funeral for Eloise Mildred Schwake, 89, of Smith Valley will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Smith Valley United Methodist Church, 44 Rivers Road.
Mrs. Schwake died Feb. 16, at home. She was born July 24, 1914, in Carson City, to Chris and Bertha Schneider Johnson. She grew up in Gardnerville and graduated from Douglas High School.
She married Walter Schwake in 1933. In 1945, they moved to Smith Valley, where they ranched for many years. She was a homemaker and active in the community.
She was preceded in death by her husband, granddaughters Carla Moody and Sharon Rasham, and son-in-law Bob Felts.
Among her survivors are her son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Patty of Smith Valley; daughter, Edrie Felts of San Jose, Calif.; granddaughters Aimee Hyson, Chris Evans, Karon Batey of San Jose, Bonnie Smith of Reno and Lena Reseck of Dayton; and seven great-grandchildren.
Burial will be at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Smith Valley.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
