James Chandler Williams, 69, a Gardnerville resident for the past nine years, died Feb. 14, 2004, in Carson City. He was born Sept. 23, 1934, in Los Angeles, to James Wilson and Marion Chandler Williams.
Before moving to Gardnerville, he lived in Southern California.
Mr. Williams owned and ran a printing business. He was a member of the Mustang Car Club and the Jaguar and Vara Racing Club. He was active in Single Action Cowboy Shooting in Gardnerville.
He served as a medic in the U.S. Army in Regensburg, Germany.
He was preceded in death by daughter, Annette Reimers.
Among his survivors are his wife, Hertha E. of Gardnerville; sons James Jr. of Huntington Beach, Calif., and Dean of Solano Beach, Calif.; seven grandchildren and mother, Marion Mahan of Dana Point, Calif.
A celebration of life is planned for April 3 in Gardnerville.
Capitol City Cremation & Burial Society is in charge of arrangements.
