A memorial service for Jane M. Davis, 79, a Carson City resident for the past 52 years, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.
Mrs. Davis died May 27, 2004, at her home. She was born Feb. 2, 1925, in Winnemucca, to David F. and Pearl Gardner Mowery.
She married Bill L. Davis, who preceded her in death in 1992.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Winnemucca.
Mrs. Davis worked as an accountant for the state of Nevada in different departments, mostly budget and for the controller, retiring in 1988. She was a Methodist and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Carson City. She was active in Beta Sigma Phi, active in her church and taught Sunday School. She enjoyed camping and cooking.
Among her survivors are her daughter, Rae Jean Haddock of Carson City; son, Frank Len of Bethlehem, Pa.; brother, David F. Mowery of Elko; grandchildren Kirsten Newbury, Meredith Haddock, Genesa Bambino and Joshua Bambino and great-grandson, Davis Newbury.
