The Angels and Yankees have advanced to play for the Carson City Little League crown.
Both teams advanced to today's championship game in Wednesday's tournament semifinals. The Angels beat the Mariners 4-2 and the Yankees defeated the Indians 4-1. The championship game will be held at 6:30 p.m. at Governor's Field.
Cameron Etchart was the winning pitcher for the Angels, who finished the regular season in fourth place in the American League. Nicholas Domitrovich and Alex Fallon each doubled for the Angels while David Charles doubled twice for the Mariners.
Beau Bickel pitched a complete game for the Yankees, who finished the regular season in first in the American League. Austin Law had two hits, including a double and Mark Higgins doubled for the Yankees. Matt Scherer had two hits, including a double, for the Indians.
