A time of sharing for Merlin Richard Larson, 64, a Carson City resident for the past seven years, will be from 1-3 p.m. Sunday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.
Mr. Larson died March 22, 2004, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. He was born Aug. 14, 1939, in Osceola, Neb., to Clarence and Edith Lind Larson.
He graduated from high school in Nebraska.
He married Rosetta Gabriel Sept. 2, 1982.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Fort Bragg, Calif.
Mr. Larson was a carpet layer, a gold and silver miner, and owned and operated Ocean View RV Park in Fort Bragg from 1983 to 1996. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Stromburg, Neb., Northern Nevadans for Nebraska and was an avid Nebraska Cornhusker fan. He was a member of the Lutheran Church. He served in the U.S. Army for four years.
Among his survivors are his wife of Carson City; children Richard Larson of Billings, Mont., Randy Skinner of Rising City, Neb., Kathy Allen of Fort Bragg and Colleen Warner of Lincoln, Neb.; sisters Lorraine Schulte of Omaha, Neb., Donna Terell of Stromburg and Jeanne Hellerich of Lincoln; brother, Kermit Larson of Delavan, Minn.; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
