Dan Edwin Allen, 74, a Carson City resident for the past 22 years, died Oct. 27, 2004, at home.
He was born Nov. 24, 1930, in El Monte, Calif., to Alvie and Zelma Hardy Allen.
He attended Brown University.
Mr. Allen was a manager at UPS in Chico, Calif., for eight years. He also managed apartments and hotels there for 20 years.
He was a Baptist.
He served in the U.S. Army.
Among his survivors are his wife, Betty of Carson City; son, Don Maxwell; daughters Debra Maxwell and Dianna Emfinger; granddaughter Ginny Mead; grandson Glen Mead; four other grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and sister, Nancy Ostrander of Carson City.
A private service was held.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
