Jim Tressler, 63, a Carson City and Lake Tahoe resident for more than 20 years, died Nov. 13, 2004, at his home. He was born March 15, 1941, in Niagara Falls, N.Y., to Clarence and Muriel Thomas Tressler.
He graduated from high school in Niagara Falls.
Before moving to the area, he lived in Niagara Falls for more than 30 years, Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe and New Orleans.
Mr. Tressler was credit manager for the Atlantis Casino in Reno, Harvey's Casino at Lake Tahoe and Harrah's Casino in New Orleans.
He served in the U.S. Air Force for five years and was in Vietnam for 18 months.
Among his survivors are his wife Blanca; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Catherine Helms; son, Adolfo Escutia; daughters and sons-in-law Veronica and Jose Iza and Ali and John Hess; sister, Bobbie Davis; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and nieces, nephews and a great-niece and great-nephew.
A private family service will be held.
Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
