Douglas soccer falls to North Tahoe

Colten Mellows scored the only goal for the Douglas High boys soccer team in its 4-1 loss to Northern 3A power North Tahoe on Friday.


Mellows scored on an assist from Michael Gransbery. Goalies Steve Done and Chris Aguilar combined to make 11 saves for Douglas. Sweeper Jared Price and defender Kyle Currence also played well for the Tigers.

Kyle Mannshreck scored twice and Oscar Gonzalez scored the other goal in the win for the Douglas junior varsity boys soccer team. Mannshreck also played well at his sweeper spot. Goalies Jose Delgado and Cody Hines combined to post the shutout.
