The Carson boys and girls swim teams turned in dominating performances in beating Manogue on Saturday.
Carson's girls won 216-92 and the Senator boys won 175-79. For the girls, Carson went one-two in the 200-yard medley relay.
Sarah Metcalf, Hilary Schlager, Jamie Engan and Katie Wandell finished in two minutes, 2.19 seconds and Barbara Perkins, Lauren Metcalf, Jessica Goddard and Carrie Linn took second.
Carson also went one-two-three-four in the 200 free as Schlager won in 2:05.12. Rebekah Niehoff was second, Megan Hanke was third and Melanie Gingell took fourth.
The Senators went two-three-four in the 200 individual medley as Lauren Metcalf took second, Hannah Nystrom was third and Tiffany Halen placed fourth.
Carson went one-two in the 50 free with Wandel (27.03) and Goddard second (27.36). In the 100 butterfly, the Senators went one-two-three-four with Jamie Engan first in 1:01.50, Niehoff second, Goddard third and Danielle Judge fourth.
In the 100 free, Carson went two-through-five with Katie Wandel second (59.99), Sarah Metcalf third (1:00.17), Gingell fourth and Melissa Wurster fifth. Carson went one-two-three in the 500 free with Engan (5:07.54), Perkins (5:25.57) and Lauren Metcalf (5:33.15).
The Senators went one-two in the 200 free relay with Goddard, Niehoff, Schlager and Wandel first in 1:50.22 and Gingell, Hanky, Judge and Wurster taking second. Perkins also won the 100 backstroke (1:10.31) while Sarah Metcalf was third, Nystrom fourth and Halen fifth. Schlager won the 100 breaststroke while Judge took second.
Engan, the Metcalfs and Niehoff won the 400 free relay. In diving Carson went one-through-four with Rachel Nietzke first, Milan DelVecchio second, Lexy Eich third and Bre-anna Bernhard fourth.
For the boys, Carson won the 200 medley relay with Alex Updegrove, Scott Wandel, Sam Ballard and Charles Hanselman. In the 200 free, Carson went one-through-four with Cardinal first, Wandel second, Ian Murdock third and Aaron Murakami fourth. Cardinal also won the 200 I.M. and John Wandel won the 50 free in 23.81.
Ballard took second in teh 100 fly and Carson went two-through-four in the 100 free with Kellen Dale second, Garrett Clayton third and Hanselman fourth. Matt Grunert won the 500 free while Murdock was second.
In the 200 free relay, Sam Forbes, Cardinal, John Wandel and Grunert were first and Updegrove, Hanselman, Clayton and Dale were second. In the 100 back, Carson went one-through-five with John Wandel first, Forbes second, Updegrove third, Ballard fourth and Scott Wandel fifth.
In the 100 breaststroke, Carson went one-two-three with Grunert first, Clayton second and Updegrove third. Carson went one-two in the 400 free relay with Forbes, Cardinal, Grunert and John Wandel first and Scott Wandel, Dale, Ballard and Murdock second.
RENO-DOUGLAS
Reno's girls and boys swept past Douglas during a Northern 4A Division I dual meet Saturday in Minden. Reno's girls won 207-106 and the boys won 191-109 at the Carson Valley Swim Center.
April Epps gave Douglas its lone individual victory when she captured first-place in the girls 1-meter diving with a score of 147.05 points. Teammate Lisa Gourlay placed third with 122.65 points.
