A memorial service for Reid Jenkins Hall, 83, a Carson City resident for the past 43 years, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1331 McKay Drive, Carson City (C-Hill Building).
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at FitzHenry's Funeral Home.
Mr. Hall died April 19, 2005, at Tahoe Pacific Hospital in Reno. He was born March 19, 1922, in Hyrum, Utah, to Calder and Hattie Jenkins Hall.
He married Phyllis Stoddard on Feb. 27, 1943, in Logan, Utah.
He graduated from Utah State University in 1943 with a degree in business administration and from the University of Utah in 1950 with a degree in pharmacy.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Salt Lake City.
Mr. Hall was co-owner/operator of Gilbert Drug Store from 1961 to 1993 when he retired. He then worked part time at Campus Pharmacy at UNR. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Lone Mountain Ward.
He served in the U.S. Army with the rank of first lieutenant in the Army Corps of Engineers in the European Theater during World War II.
Among his survivors are his wife of Carson City; sons John of Carson City and David of Las Vegas; daughters Mary Brown of Columbia City, Ore., and Anne Hunsaker and Jane Heupel, both of Las Vegas; brother, Craige Hall of Ogden, Utah and 10 grandchildren.
Burial will be in Lone Mountain Cemetery.
