A memorial service for Jean Merrill, 77, a Minden resident for the past 11 years, will be at 3 p.m. Friday at FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Merrill died April 24, 2005, at her home. She was born Aug. 8, 1927, in Assumption, Ill., to Luther Mason and Maybelle Bernice Phillips.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Carson Valley Christian Center.
She was preceded in death by brother Ronald Phillips.
Among her survivors are daughters and sons-in-law Bonnie and Bob McPeck of Minden, Cathy and Les Ferreira of San Luis Obispo, Calif., and Sandra and Dennis Rymel of Roseville, Calif.; sons and daughters-in-law Bill and Kathy and Steve and Julie, all of Minden; sister, Carol Murden; brothers Gary Phillips of Minden and David Phillips of Las Vegas; and grandchildren Chrystal, Nicole, Kevin, Steve, Sammy, Jessica, Mandie, Melissa, Chelsea, Danny and Alicia.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Carson Valley Pops.
FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
