Kids Karnival comes to Children's Museum

The Children's Museum of Northern Nevada will hold its fourth Kids' Karnival from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at the museum. There will be games, food and prizes. Special guests will be Smokey Bear, Bobby the Boat and Bob the Builder. There will also be a dunk tank.

The Children's Museum is at 813 N. Carson St. Karnival events will be on the north side of the building, E. Ann St. For information call 884-2226.

Congestive heart failure topic of Channel 10 program

Carson City physician Dr. Colleen C. Lyons, of Aspen Family Medical, and Dr. Christopher M. Lambert, of Reno Heart Physicians, will discuss congestive heart failure on HEALTHSMART TV which can be seen on cable Channel 10 in Carson City and Dayton at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, 11 a.m. Wednesday and 3 p.m. Thursday.

The program broadcasts on Channel 26 in the Carson Valley and Minden at 8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday and 8 a.m. Wednesday and Friday. Broadcasts also appear on Channel 16 in Reno and Washoe Valley at 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Kruzers and Nugget sponsor street dance

The Karson Kruzers and the Carson Nugget will hold an end of the summer street dance and show-n-shine Saturday. McClain's Mobile DJ will provide music from 7-11 p.m. The dance and show-n-shine will be in the west Nugget lot. All vehicles are welcome.

The mini-car show will be from 7-9 p.m. with awards around 9.

Democratic Women's Club meets

The Carson City Democratic Women's Club will meet at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Grandma Hattie's.

The meeting will be devoted to setting club goals for the next 15 months and discussing the 2006 elections with an emphasis on getting Democrats elected.

Tour Grimes Point with Rock Art Foundation

History and archaeological lovers can view a wealth of archaeological treasures Saturday when the Nevada Rock Art Foundation presents its monthly tour of ancient petroglyphs at Grimes Point.
