A memorial service for Nancy Best Taylor, 80, a Gardnerville resident, will be at 1 p.m. Dec. 11, at the Carson Valley United Methodist Church, 1375 Centerville Lane, Gardnerville.
Mrs. Taylor died Nov. 23, 2005, at her home. She was born April 24, 1925 in Elkhart, Ind., to Charles and Helen Best.
She was an occupational therapist and a registered nurse. She enjoyed hiking and camping with her family in the wilderness areas of the High Sierra Nevada.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Henry, in 1998.
Among her survivors are daughter Sharlee Taylor of Gardnerville and sons Timothy of Indio, Calif., and Jeffrey of Austin, Texas.
Walton's Douglas County Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
