A funeral for Elaine L. Monia, 82, a Dayton resident for the past 35 years, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Calvary Baptist Church in Dayton.
Mrs. Monia died Jan. 15, 2005, at Vista Care in Reno. She was born Nov. 29, 1922, in Oakland, Calif., to Manuel and Helen Lawrence Joseph.
Before moving to Dayton, she lived at Lake Tahoe.
Mrs. Monia owned several beauty salons throughout the area. She enjoyed gardening, traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
She was very active in the Calvary Baptist Church in Dayton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, Sept. 18, 2001, and sister Lorraine Hendry.
Among her survivors are her daughter, Roberta Fierro of Dayton; sister Anna Belle of Henderson; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Burial will follow at the Dayton Cemetery.
