Burial for Calvin Grant Palsgrove, 79, of Yerington will be at noon Thursday at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery with full military honors.
Mr. Palsgrove died June 11, 2005, at St. Mary's Hospital in Reno.
He was born Nov. 1, 1925, in Arnold, Pa.
Mr. Palsgrove worked for Harrah's Lake Tahoe, Douglas County School District, Department of Transportation in Gardnerville and the Port Authority in San Diego, Calif.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, Korea and Vietnam and retired as a sergeant first class.
He was preceded in death by his son Raymond.
Among his survivors are his wife of 52 years, Carol; daughter, Karen Sarratea; sons John and Scott; daughters-in-law Bonnie and Katie Palsgrove; grandchildren Stephanie Sarratea, Grant and Amber Palsgrove; and stepdaughter, Bonnie Scurlock.
In lieu of flowers, Mr. Palsgrove would want something for the U.S. troops. The Department of Employment Training and Rehabilitation sends care packages to troops in Iraq.
