A service for Alta Luella Allan May, 84, a Minden resident for the past 55 years, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley. Viewing will be from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service.
Mrs. May died March 4, 2005, at her home. She was born Feb. 8, 1921, in Scobey, Mont., to James Morris and Rose Valentine Dickinson Allen.
She married Earl O. May on Jan. 21, 1939, in Kalispell, Mont.
Before moving to Minden, she lived in Kalispell.
Mrs. May was a homemaker. She was a civilian bomb maker during World War II. She was former secretary of the Rancho Saddle Club in Gardnerville and a former member of the Lion's Club Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1990, three brothers and one sister.
Among her survivors are her daughter, Twyla Rose Hughes, of Carson City; son and daughter-in-law, Michael J. and Carrie May of Minden; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
