The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• A 48-year-old mechanic from Carson City was arrested at 11:43 a.m. Thursday along Highway 50 on a misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear and suspicion of misdemeanor driving without a valid license. Bail was set at $839.

• Katherine Elizabeth Hurwitz, a 22-year-old South Lake Tahoe clerk, was arrested at 3:37 a.m. Saturday at Carson-Tahoe Hospital on suspicion of felony unlawful act related to human blood, suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery, battery and disorderly conduct. Bail was set at $9,691.

• A 34-year-old Carson City bookkeeper was arrested at 8:32 a.m. Saturday in the 1200 block of North Mountain Street on a misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear. Bail was set at $334.

• A 44-year-old unemployed man from Carson City was arrested at 10:33 a.m. Saturday in the 800 block of East Musser Street on a misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear. Bail was set at $1,000.

• A 26-year-old receptionist from Carson City was arrested at 1:15 p.m. Saturday in the 900 block of East Musser Street on a misdemeanor warrant for contempt of court. Bail was set at $500.

• A 34-year-old unemployed man from Carson City was arrested at 9:55 a.m. Saturday in the 1800 block of East Long Street on a misdemeanor warrant for contempt of court. Bail was set at $528.

• Frank Brown, a 42-year-old Carson City man of unknown employment, was arrested at 9:08 a.m. Saturday at Curry and Telegraph streets on suspicion of felony probation violation and possession of methamphetamine, suspicion of misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. No bail was set.

• Steve Clee Hill, a 34-year-old transient construction worker, was arrested at 9:08 a.m. Saturday at Curry and Telegraph streets on suspicion of felony possession of methamphetamine and suspicion of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $3,632.

• A 42-year-old transient was arrested at 6:49 p.m. Saturday in the 1600 block of Airport Road on a misdemeanor warrant for contempt of court. Bail was set at $547.

• A 32-year-old casino security guard from Carson City was arrested at 11:41 p.m. Saturday in the 1100 block of South Roop Street on a misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear. Bail was set at $1,019.

• A 27-year-old cell phone dealer from Carson City was arrested at 12:12 a.m. Sunday in the 2100 block of Highway 50 East on a misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear, suspicion of misdemeanor driving with a suspended license, failure to yield right of way and driving with no proof of insurance. Bail was set at $1,676.

• A 22-year-old warehouse worker from Fallon was arrested at 2:30 a.m. Sunday at State Street and Highway 50 on suspicion of misdemeanor DUI, a traffic signal violation and failure to maintain a single lane. Bail was set at $1,346.

• Ryan Michael Alves, a 21-year-old forklift operator from Silver Springs was arrested at 2:35 a.m. Sunday at State Street and Highway 50 for suspicion of felony probation violation and suspicion of misdemeanor having an open container. No bail was set.

• A 22-year-old fabricator from Carson City was arrested at 10:09 p.m. Saturday at Rand Avenue and Highway 50 on suspicion of misdemeanor DUI, failure to maintain a single lane, no proof of insurance and driving without a valid license. Bail was set at $3,658.
