First clay pigeon shoot will be held on May 21

The Sierra Lutheran High School of Douglas County will host its first clay pigeon shoot on Saturday, May 21.

That event will be held at the Carson Valley Clays Gun Club at 90 China Springs Road, south of Gardnerville.

Registration begins at 9 a.m. with competition 10 a.m. to 12 noon, followed by lunch. Shooting will be Lewis Class with 100 red sporting clays per shooter,

Prizes will awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.

The registration fee is $75 per person, which includes a barbecue lunch.

Proceeds will go to benefit the Sierra Lutheran High School scholarship funds.
