Leonard Irving Colcleaser

Leonard Irving Colcleaser, 78, a Dayton resident for the past eight years, died Oct. 25, 2005, at his home. He was born Sept. 27, 1927, in California, to John Basil and May Grace Phillips Colcleaser.

He married Jacqueline Staples.

Before moving to Dayton, he lived in California.

Mr. Colcleaser was an electrical lineman.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for 55 years.

He served in the merchant marines during World War II.

Among his survivors are his wife of Dayton; sons Dan of Central Point, Ore., and Michael; daughter, Karen Griffen of Medford, Ore.; brothers Bill of Vacaville, Calif., Chester of Chester, Calif., and Donald of Gold Hill, Ore.; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous other family members.
