The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:
• Adam Tom, 24, of Carson City, was arrested at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 800 block of East Musser Street on suspicion of felony battery by a prisoner. Tom, an inmate serving a robbery sentence at Northern Nevada Correctional Center, allegedly punched a corrections officer twice in October 2004. No bail was set. The incident has been under investigation by the Nevada Attorney General's Office.
• A 62-year-old retired Carson City man was arrested at 8:49 a.m. Wednesday in the 300 block of East Winnie Lane on violation of a restraining order. Bail was set at $1,132.
• Benjamin Blinn, 61, of Carson City, was arrested at 10:28 p.m. Tuesday in the 2000 block of North Carson Street on suspicion gross misdemeanor destruction of evidence, driving under the influence of drugs, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail is set at $2,500.
n The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded:
• A safe was reported stolen from a home in the 2100 block of Kansas Street at 8:46 a.m. Monday.
• Child protective services took custody of two children found in a filthy home in the 2400 block of North Carson Street on Friday at 2:24 a.m.
• Tools were stolen from a porch in the 700 block of Hot Springs Road sometime Monday night.
• A camera was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 100 block of Galena Way at 8:36 a.m. Tuesday.
• An apartment in the 2000 block of West College Parkway was burglarized between 3:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Lyon County
The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Tuesday:
• Accident in westbound Interstate 80 in Fernley at 1:11 a.m.
• Structure fire on Wells Fargo Avenue in Mark Twain at 2:39 a.m.
• Reported gas leak on Main Street in Fernley at 10:06 a.m.
• Reported gas leak on Carter Lane in Smith Valley at 2:30 p.m.
• Domestic dispute in the 800 block of Conestoga Way in Mark Twain at 4:30 p.m.
• Accident on Park Drive in Mound House at 4:37 p.m.
• Residential burglary on Monico Drive in Mark Twain at 5:19 p.m.
• Hit-and-run accident report in the 10000 block of Highway 50 East in Mound House at 10: 27 p.m.
Storey County
The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Tuesday:
• A wild horse with a broken leg was put down at 6:35 a.m. Tuesday on State Route 341 near the 7-Eleven.
• A five-gallon gas can was reported stolen from the bed of a pickup in the 400 block of Canyon Way in Lockwood at 1:55 p.m.
• A citation was given to a woman for parking her vehicle in front of a hydrant in the 400 block of Canyon Way at 2:29 p.m. in Lockwood.
• A warning for speed was issued on Canyon Way in Lockwood at 5:14 p.m.
• A driver on Avenue De La Couleurs in Lockwood was issued a traffic citation at 5:33 p.m.
• A warning for speeding was issued at 5:57 p.m. on Six Mile Canyon Road.
