Alleged Reno bank robber caught in Carson City

The Carson Mall was evacuated around 11:30 a.m. today after a man believed to have robbed a Reno bank earlier this morning, allegedly left a suspicious bag in a trash can there.

Police caught a man near the 550 block of Roop Street, who a witness confirmed was the same man who discarded the suspicious package.

The suspect is believed to have robbed the bank by threatening he had a bomb.

The Tahoe-Douglas Bomb Squad is on the scene.
