A funeral for Carbert L. "C.L." Sharp Jr., 81, a Carson City resident for the past two years, will be at noon Tuesday at FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Sharp died Nov. 21, 2005, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. He was born Feb. 5, 1924, in Paris, Ark., to Carbert L. and Emily Bramlet Sharp.

He was a high school graduate.

He married Elaine M. Sharp on April 6, 1946, in Colton, Calif.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Minden.

Mr. Sharp was a U.S. postal carrier.

He served in the U.S. Army and was a World War II veteran.

Among his survivors are his wife, daughter Linda Curtis, son Terry Sharp and daughter-in-law Vera Sharp, all of Carson City; sister Edith Schmidt of Poway, Calif.; brother Gerald of Pearce Ariz.; four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service with military honors will be at Eastside Memorial Park in Minden following the service.
