Eagles lodge seeks crafters for fair

The Eagles are looking for crafters to participate at a craft sale from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 5.

The craft sale will be held at the Eagles Hall, 1380 E. Fifth St. Booth space is available for the craft fair for $40. For information, call LaNora Clyde at 841-5758, evenings.

River advisory meeting canceled

Wednesday's regularly scheduled meeting of the Carson River Advisory Committee has been canceled.

The next meeting will be Monday. Call 887-2262.

Applicants sought for city parks board

The Carson City Board of Supervisors is seeking applications from persons interested in serving on the Carson City Parks and Recreation Commission.

There are three openings. The purpose of the Parks and Recreation Commission is to advise the board on the use of city parks and protect the right of residents to enjoy the parks system.

Terms are four years and expire January 2010. The board of supervisors shall appoint qualified persons to the board who are residents and registered voters of Carson City.

Volunteer applications may be obtained from and returned to the Carson City Executive Offices by Nov. 14. All applications submitted will be considered public information.

Applicants sought for board vacancy

The Indian Hills General Improvement District is accepting applications to fill a vacancy on its board of directors.

Any qualified elector residing within the district may apply in writing by completing an application form to fill the remaining term ending Jan. 1, 2007.

Applications are at www.indianhillsnevada.com or at the main office, 3394 James Lee Park Road, No. A, Carson City, NV 89705. Qualified residents may also submit a brief resumé along with completed applications. The deadline is 4 p.m. Oct. 14.

The board will interview qualified candidates and make a selection at the Oct. 19 meeting.
