A memorial service was held Sunday for Jeffrey Austin Kirby, 15, a lifetime resident of Gardnerville.
Jeffrey Kirby died Oct. 26, 2005, in Reno. He was born Oct. 21, 1990, in Carson City to Jeffrey Austin and Jennifer Clark Kirby.
He was a ninth-grader at Carson Valley Middle School. He enjoyed golfing and hunting, and was an avid music fan.
Among his survivors are his father of Reno and mother, Jennifer Villallobos of Gardnerville; grandparents Bob and Georgia Kirby of Denver, Gene and Winx Osborne of Gardnerville, Patty and Jay Marriage of Gardnerville and Peter and Margaret Villallobos of Gardnerville; sister, Patty Kirby of Gardnerville; stepsisters Kere and Kati Villallobos of Yerington; stepbrothers Danny Villallobos Jr. of Reno, Tony Villallobos of Gardnerville and Cody Villallobos of Yerington; aunts Jamie Clark of Carson City, Kris Hall of Wellington and Diane Haukee of Yerington; and numerous other extended-family members.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Epilepsy Foundation.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
