Alfred Goodman, 91, a Carson City resident for the past 23 years, died Sept. 20, 2005, in Carson City. He was born Aug. 24, 1914, in Los Angeles, to William and Florence Appleford Goodman.
Mr. Goodman married Lucia Spadafora on May 15, 1936, in Los Angeles.
Before his retirement, Mr. Goodman was a businessman in Los Angeles, owner of Cali Frame Mfg. and a partner in his family business, W.A. Goodman & Sons, both sporting goods companies. He enjoyed his family, baseball and golf.
Among his survivors are his wife, daughter Jackie Loomis, son and daughter-in-law John and Shirley Goodman of Cary, Ill.; grandchildren Mark Loomis, Doug Loomis, John Loomis, Bill Goodman, Rachael Ross, Carrie Goodman, Kendall Goodman and Michael Goodman and several great-grandchildren.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
A private celebration of life will be at a later date.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
