A funeral service for Jane Estell Mitzel Davis, 85, of Silver Springs, will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Faith Baptist Church in Silver Springs.
Mrs. Davis died Sept. 16, 2005, at her home. She was born Oct. 7, 1919, in Baltimore, Md., to Charles Warren and Julia Catherine Allen Mitzel.
She married Fred Darwin Davis on Aug. 23, 1940, in Baltimore.
Before moving to Silver Springs, she lived in Hollister, Calif.
Mrs. Davis attended Citrus College and was a mother, nurse and owned a small business with her husband.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Levere, Ralph and Paul Mitzel.
Among her survivors are her husband of Silver Springs; children Fred Darwin Jr. of Citrus Heights, Calif., Donald Warren of Aloha, Ore., Helen Jane Bauer of Suffolk, Va., Jon Charles of Grapevine, Texas, Julia (Judie) Frances Baugher and Elizabeth Ann Gannett, both of Silver Springs; brother Dr. Robert Mitzel, sister Dr. Elizabeth Warren Mitzel, 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Youth Building Fund, Faith Baptist Church, 5715 Elm St., Silver Springs, NV 89429.
