MINDEN - All classes at Western Nevada Community College Douglas campus are canceled until Monday because of a broken water line.
College officials shut down the campus Thursday afternoon after an irrigation line broke, flooding a section of landscaping. No buildings were flooded. A contractor was called, but the leak was not found by late Thursday, according to a WNCC spokesman.
Shutting down the campus is a protective measure, said Mark Davis, WNCC assistant director of facilities. He said the contractor will work through the weekend so the campus can open Monday.
Douglas WNCC students should call 782-2413 to make sure the campus is open Monday.
