Local sportsmen's club third picnic of summer

The Ormsby Sportsmen's Association (OSA) of Carson City, a local organization for hunting and fishing enthusiasts, will hold the third of a series of four monthly, summer picnics on Tuesday.

Those OSA picnics are held at Mills Park on the third Tuesday of the month during the months of June, July, August and September.

All of the picnics begin at 6 p.m. and last until dark.

Anyone attending is requested to bring a pot-luck salad or dessert to share with others.

Beginning in October, the sportsmen's club will revert back to regular monthly indoor meetings at the Carson Nugget Convention Center.

Those meetings are also held on the third Tuesday of each month, with the exception of the month of December. In that month, the club's annual banquet on the first Saturday of December replaces the regular meeting.

Members of OSA and non-members are cordially invited to attend any or all of those functions.
