William F. Fergus, Sr., 85, an 11-year Carson City resident, died Aug. 17, 2006, in Carson City.
Mr. Fergus was born Nov. 12, 1920, in Oakland, Calif., to Carl and Stella Fergus.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Oakland.
Mr. Fergus worked in the title insurance business for more than 50 years.
He served the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II.
He was active in the Shriners, Masonic Lodge and Rotary.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Fergus.
Among his survivors are his son and daughter-in-law William F. Fergus Jr. and Carol Fergus of Carson City.
Cremation will take place at Walton's Sierra Crematory.
