(Appeal Capitol Bureau) - Hikers in Mineral County made a grisly discovery this weekend - a human skull.
John Douglas, chief of the state Division of Investigations, said the skull was found Sunday south of Mina near the junction of Highway 95 and State Route 360.
Mineral County has asked for help with the investigation from the state Department of Public Safety and the Washoe County Sheriff's Office Forensic Science Division.
Douglas said his investigators haven't had the chance to examine the skull yet so they don't have enough information even to determine the sex or age of the victim.
