A Carson City man was in custody Tuesday, charged with molesting the 13-year-old friend of a relative.
Christopher Lee Mack, 21, was booked into the Carson City Jail at 9:29 p.m. Monday on suspicion of felony lewdness with a child under 14.
According to the arrest record, police received a report that Mack's relative told an adult friend that Mack had molested her girlfriend one evening when the victim was staying the night with her.
When police questioned the relative, the girl said Mack, who lived with her family, had invited her and her friend into his bedroom to watch a movie on Aug. 11. When all three were in the room together, Mack allegedly began kissing and fondling the victim, according to the report.
"The (relative) said the victim told Mr. Mack to stop, but he continued his advances," Deputy Kiplan Lee wrote in the report.
When deputies questioned Mack, he allegedly admitted he knew the girl was 13 years old, that he kissed and touched her and made her touch him.
"According to Mr. Mack, the victim cried during and after the incident and asked him to stop several times. Mr. Mack allowed the victim to leave his room with instructions to not tell anyone what happened," Lee wrote.
The victim allegedly told deputies the same story, adding that she was too scared to call for help or attempt to escape.
"The victim said at the conclusion of the incident, Mr. Mack apologized and gave her a stuffed animal as a gift," the report states.
Mack is being held on $30,000 bail.
