Local artist's works at Comma Coffee

Comma Coffee and zArtist.com present "Perididdle," the art of Raymond Craig Whitehill, at The Backseat Gallery inside Comma Coffee. The show runs all September with a reception for the artist from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday.

Perididdle is the home of Craig's original cartoon character.

The Perididdle crew has also found itself in the middle of Craig's non-objective art, a motif that he calls Subdivision which has evolved over 38 years. These abstract compositions lead the viewer along and seem like lyrical moments in a song or poem.

Whitehill works from a home studio in Carson City. The Backseat Gallery is in Comma Coffee, 312 S. Carson St. The show and reception are free.

Call 883-2662 or see www.CommaCoffee.com.
