Carson City School District officials will host a town hall meeting 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Carson High School Library to explain the effect of a school bond in light of new tax laws.

Voters will be asked to approve a $25,000 school bond in November that would go to building an addition at Carson Middle School, replacing the portable buildings there.

The rest would be used to complete general improvements throughout the district including a drainage system at Carson High School, roof repairs at most of the schools and infrastructural upgrades.
