GARDNERVILLE - Two men from Carson City and one from Dayton were arrested Wednesday night for allegedly selling more than 80 grams of methamphetamine to undercover Douglas County officers.
Felipe Ledezma-Aguilar, 26, of Carson City; Ignacio Rodriquez-Ibarra, 29, of Carson City; and Felipe Moreno-Renteria, 24, of Dayton were arrested about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the parking lot of Old Navy in north Douglas County after delivering the methamphetamine, estimated at $8,000, to undercover officers.
Each was charged with felony trafficking and conspiracy to violate the Uniform Controlled Substances act.
Rodriquez-Ibarra and Moreno-Renteria remained in custody Thursday on $110,000 bail each. Ledezma-Aguilar was also arrested on a Carson City warrant charging failure to appear on felony drunken driving and probation violation. His bail was set at $123,000.
Trafficking with 28 grams or more is a category A felony, the highest level. Penalties range from life in prison with eligibility for parole after 10 years; or, for a definite term of 25 years with eligibility for parole after 10 years; and up to a $500,000 fine.
The conspiracy charge is punishable by up to five years in prison.
Wednesday's arrests come on the heels of an arrest made on Dec. 1 in which 56 grams of methamphetamine was seized.
In that case, Yolanda Alvarado, 22, of North Highland, Calif., was arrested in a Stateline casino parking lot after the reported sale of more than $5,000 in methamphetamine. Alvardo was charged with felony trafficking and is being held in the Douglas County Jail on $100,000 bail.
