The Douglas High boys basketball team ended a frustrating week at the George Maldonado Classic at Galena with a 62-51 loss to Lehi, Utah.
Douglas (6-4) lost all four games it played in the event. The Tigers had respectable showings against nationally ranked Artesia of Lakewood, Calif., and Arlington Country Day of Florida before dropping its last two games in the event.
"It's a privelege to be in this tournament," Douglas coach Rob Streeter said. "We saw some great competition. Obviously we're a little disappointed going 0-for."
Against Lehi, Douglas trailed 25-23 at halftime and 44-38 after three quarters before Lehi pulled away at the foul line down the stretch.
"It was by far our most disappointing defensive effort of the year," Streeter said.
Keith Olson scored 15 points and Mike Gransbery added 13 points for Douglas, which opens Sierra League play at home on Thursday against Damonte Ranch.
