College to show student photographs
"Visions," a student group exhibition of digital photographs, will hang in the College Gallery at Western Nevada Community College Bristlecone Building through Jan. 12. Library to hold kids holiday celebration

NARFE Chapter 1329 will meet at 11:15 a.m. today at Grandma Hattie's, 2811 S. Carson St. Cake and ice cream will be provided to celebrate the Christmas season. Pioneer Family Dance on New Year's Eve
Pioneer Family Dance will hold its annual New Year's Eve Dance from 8 p.m. until midnight. Cost is $15 for adults ($12 in advance at nevadamusic.com) and $6 for children.

Daughters of Norway fete Christmas
The Daughters of Norway Queen Maud Lodge No. 42 will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul's Lutheran Family Church, corner of Highway 50 East at Saliman Road. They will offer a smorgasbord and Santa's visit with the children, and will sing and dance around the Christmas tree and exchange gifts valued at no more than $10 each. Guests are welcome. Women are invited to join the lodge who are of Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, Finnish, Icelandic heritage or who are married or have been married to someone of that heritage. Call 882-3729.
