A memorial service for Doris Jean Duncan, 77, a 12-year Carson City resident, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Brewery Arts Center.
Mrs. Duncan died Feb. 12, 2006, in Jamestown, Calif. She was born Sept. 26, 1928, in Decatur, Ill., to Sedrick Allen Moomey and Sarah Marguerite Smith.
She was a merchant teller in banking. She was a well-known artist in Nevada, specializing in portraits.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Burton Duncan.
Among her survivors are her daughters and sons-in-law Claudia and Rodney Smith of Jamestown, Calif., and Jeanne and Rick Enberg of Arroyo Grande, Calif.; sister, Betty Lee Lopez of Temecula, Calif.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two nieces.
Terzich & Wilson Funeral Home in Sonora, Calif., is in charge of arrangements.
