The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:


• A 28-year-old Carson City man was arrested at 8:12 a.m. Friday in the 2500 block of Lorraine Street on suspicion of misdemeanor threats. No bail was set.


• A 42-year-old housewife from Minden was arrested at 11:13 a.m. Thursday in the 800 block of East Musser Street on suspicion of a warrant for criminal contempt. Bail was set at $899 cash.


• Christina Blackwell, 27, of Carson City, was arrested at 1:48 p.m. Thursday in the 500 block of College Parkway on suspicion of a felony warrant for drawing and passing an insufficient funds check. Bail was set at $4,050.


• A 30-year-old unemployed Carson City man was arrested at 11:56 p.m. Thursday at Long and Carson streets on suspicion of misdemeanor failure to appear. Bail was set at $1,101 cash.


• A 19-year-old unemployed man from Stagecoach was arrested at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the 800 block of East Musser Street on suspicion of misdemeanor failure to appear on a traffic matter. Bail was set at $172 cash.


The following are some of the 191 calls to which deputies responded:


• Three males dangling a 2-year-old baby over the balcony of a second floor apartment in the 500 West College Parkway at 11:17 a.m. Thursday.


• An unsupervised 2-year-old child wandered into a neighboring apartment at 11:27 a.m. Thursday.


• A 27-year-old man was arrested in the 3200 block of Dale Drive at 9:05 p.m. Thursday on suspicion of misdemeanor discharging a firearm and possession of a firearm while under the influence. The man was arrested after barricading himself inside his house with a high-powered rifle for almost two hours. He is in jail on an emergency mental hold.




Lyon County


The following are some of the 105 calls to which deputies responded:


• A report of sexual offenses in the 300 block of Old Dayton Valley Road in Dayton Valley at 7:42 a.m. Thursday.


• A report of a larceny in the 3000 block of Highway 95A in Silver Springs at 9:15 a.m. Thursday.


• A report of a residential burglary on Bluestone Avenue in Mason Valley at 9:41 a.m. Thursday.


• A report of drug possession or sales at Silver Springs High School in Silver Springs at 12:43 p.m. Thursday.


• A report of a stolen vehicle in the 1200 block of Jacob Lane in Fernley at 3:30 p.m. Thursday


• A report of a residential burglary in the 500 block of Spur Way in Fernley at 9:01 p.m. Thursday.


• A drunk driver was reported going eastbound on Highway 50 East in Silver Springs at 9:50 p.m. Thursday.




Storey County


The following are some of the 14 calls to which deputies responded:


• A Virginia City woman reported at 8:07 p.m. Thursday that two students approached her son during lunch at Virginia City Middle School and propositioned him for drugs.


• A traffic stop on the divide at 7:35 p.m. Thursday. Driver was issued a warning.


• A woman reported smelling a strong odor of bleach and believed there might be a meth lab in the 300 block of South D Street in Virginia City at 4:20 a.m. Friday.
