"The Self-Help Housing Information Seminar" from Citizens for Affordable Homes, Inc., will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday at 100 Pine Cone Road in Dayton. The seminar is to discuss how participants can become active in the program, how it works, and how participants invest no money, but help build their own homes from the ground up.

'Big Wind' helps hurricane musicians
Red Rose Musical Productions presents "Big Wind," an original musical by Will Rose celebrating the spirit of Mardi Gras. Shows start at 7 p.m. tonight and Saturday, with an encore presentation on Tuesday, at the Mandarin Garden Chinese Restaurant in Virginia City.
The price is $30 for adults, $28 for youth aged 5-17, and $1 off for Red Rose Fan Club members.
Part of the proceeds go towards putting instruments in the hands of musicians who lost theirs in hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

Old St. Paul's Church in Virginia City celebrates Lent
The public is invited to celebrate the Lenten season with Old St. Paul's Episcopal Church, corner of F and Taylor streets in Virginia City.
There will be a free pancake supper at 6 p.m. Shrove Tuesday. At 6 p.m. March 1, there will be an Ash Wednesday service with a soup supper afterward. Every Wednesday during Lent, the public is invited to partake of soup suppers.
