A funeral service for Geraldine Wadsworth Rowley, 67, a resident of St. George, Utah, will be at 11 a.m. Mountain time Tuesday at the Washington Fields Stake Center, 3285 South 770 West, Washington, Utah. Viewing will be Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the Spilsbury Mortuary and Tuesday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the stake center.
A graveside service will be 3 p.m. Pacific time Tuesday, at the Panaca Cemetery, Panaca.
Mrs. Rowley died Feb. 22, 2006, due to congestive heart failure caused by muscular dystrophy.
She was born July 19, 1938, in Las Vegas, to Glenn L. and Veda Brockbank Wadsworth.
She graduated from Las Vegas High School in 1956.
She married Vernon Conrad "Con" Rowley on April 12, 1960, at the St. George Temple in St. George, Utah.
Before moving to St. George, she and her husband lived in Mesa and Scottsdale, Ariz., Provo and Orem Utah, and Boulder City, Las Vegas and Carson City.
She enjoyed music, playing the piano and organ, decorating, crafts, oil painting and genealogy. She was a descendant of Utah pioneers who came in 1856 with the Willie and Martin Handcart Companies.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Larry David Wadsworth.
Among her survivors are her husband of St. George; daughters and sons-in-law Vynette and Kirk Arnell of Gresham, Ore., Rachelle and James Miller, and Camille and Matthew Campbell, all of St. George; sons and daughters-in-law Derek and Genine Rowley of St. George, Trevor and Kristen Rowley of Reno, Karis and Jocelyn Rowley of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Quinten and Jillyn Rowley, of Hemet, Calif.; 19 grandchildren and several extended-family members.
