A funeral for Kenneth S. Yeary, 63, a 40-year Carson City resident, will be 1 p.m. Friday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.
Mr. Yeary died Feb. 24, 2006, in Carson City. He was born Sept. 28, 1942, in Tazewell, Tenn., to Millard and Laura Edens Yeary.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Toledo, Ohio, and San Francisco.
He was a demolitions expert and a heavy-equipment operator.
He enjoyed dealing in antiquities, helping people, music and spending time with his family and friends.
He was a member of Potter's House Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Earl, Homer, Uless and Obie Yeary; and sisters Gladys Yeary, Martha Brown and Bessie Blankenship.
Among his survivors are his children K. Randall and Lori Yeary of Las Vegas, Kevin and Ramona Baxter of Carson City, and Chistinia Yeary of Reno; sisters Christine Rasner of Reno, Maxine Snodgrass of Virginia and Beulah Osborn of Mich.; two grandchildren in Carson City; four nephews; two nieces; and many extended-family members.
Burial will take place at Lone Mountain Cemetery.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City is in charge of arrangements.
