According to a press release by the Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW), water development (guzzler) map books for Nevada that list the locations of more than 1,000 water developments are available for $40 at NDOW offices.
Water developments are water tanks that have been placed on public land where rainwater is collected and stored for use by large and small birds, mammals and reptiles.
The books consist of 72 pages of topographic maps that cover the entire state.
Besides giving locations of the water developments, they are good references for finding springs, roads and trails, mountains and valleys.
All money that NDOW receives from the sale of the books will be used to print additional books.
For information, call NDOW at 688-1500.
