'Really Big Sale' at Children's Museum


The Children's Museum of Northern Nevada will be holding their annual "Really Big Sale" from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. For information, call 884-2226.




'Friday Classical Lunches' starts at BAC


The Brewery Arts Center's summer music series "Friday Classical Lunches" begins from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Brewery Arts Center patio. Admission is free. Light lunches, snacks and beverages will be available for purchase, and visitors are encouraged to bring their own.

'Blues and Ballet' to be performed at BAC


The Sierra Nevada Ballet and the Brewery Arts Center will present "Blues and Ballet" at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Brewery Arts Center.


Tickets are $18 preferred seating and $15 for balcony seating. BAC members, seniors and students receive $3 off.

Senior dance celebrates red, white and blue


The Carson City Senior Citizens Center will celebrate Independence Day with a dance Saturday from 7 - 10 p.m. Music will be provided by the Joe Rossie Band. Dance lessons will be provided by Thane Cornell from 6 - 7 p.m. Cost is $6 per person. For information, call 883-0703.




4-H club holds garage sale for Relay for Life


The newly formed Carson City 4-H Musketeers, a community service club, will be holding a garage sale fundraiser from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at 1137 Clearview Drive in Carson City.


Proceeds go to benefit the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.

'Jazz under the Stars' to be held Tuesday in Comma Courtyard


The Mile High Jazz Band with vocalist Sheryl Adams will be holding an evening of "Big Band Jazz Under the Stars" from 8 to 10 p.m. Tuesday at the Comma Coffee Courtyard.


Admission is $5 general, $4 for members of the Mile High Jazz Band Association, and free for those aged 18 and under.


Swing-dance instruction will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and is $5.

'Programs from the Porch' debuts Friday
