• Drink plenty of water or juice every half-hour to stop dehydration plus dryness in nose, throat and eyes.

• Wear loose clothing since the body tends to swell while in the higher altitudes.

• Take it easy on alcohol and caffeine, as both can cause dehydration and confused sleep patterns.

• If flying all night, don't go to bed soon after landing, as that prolongs adjusting to the new time zone. Try to stay awake until the local bedtime. It takes about two days to adjust to a new time zone.

• Alert your credit card companies of your destinations to avoid having charges refused.

• Aisles permitting, try to walk around to prevent blood clots in the legs.

• Bon voyage!
