The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:


• Michael Jay Ray, 24, transient, was arrested at 5:03 a.m. Tuesday at Saliman Road and Pinto Court on suspicion of felony possession of a stolen vehicle and misdemeanor possession of a hypodermic device, driving under the influence of drugs second offense, suspended driver's license, fictitious registration. Bail was set at $29,138.


• A 25-year-old unemployed transient was arrested at 1:37 a.m. Wednesday in the 500 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of misdemeanor trespassing. Bail was set at $237.


• Francisco Montano, 20, of Carson City, was arrested at 9:01 p.m. Tuesday at Roop and Washington streets on suspicion of felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor violation of bail conditions and no tail lights. Bail was set at $5,567.


• A 27-year-old unemployed Carson City man was arrested at 8:20 p.m. Tuesday at Nye Lane and Lorraine Street on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery. Bail was set at $3,132.


• A 48-year-old mover from Carson City was arrested at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 1300 block of Willard Way on suspicion of misdemeanor violation of a suspended sentence. Bail was set at $3,000.


• A 30-year-old student from Carson City was arrested at 5:18 p.m. Tuesday on College Parkway on suspicion of misdemeanor failure to appear. Bail was set at $242 cash.


• A 27-year-old carpenter from Virginia City was arrested at 4:20 p.m. Tuesday in the 800 block of East Musser on suspicion of a misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear. Bail was set at $470 cash.


• A 29-year-old assistant from Carson City was arrested at 10:49 a.m. Tuesday in the 600 block of East College Parkway on suspicion of a misdemeanor warrant for contempt of court. Bail was set at $500 cash.


The following are some of the 243 calls to which deputies responded:


• A traffic stop involving a stolen vehicle at Saliman Road and Pinto Court at 4:58 a.m. Tuesday.


• A woman reported that she was jumped by three females on Long Street at 4:33 a.m. Tuesday. The attackers took her purse, wallet and car keys.


• A 2-year-old and 4-year-old were seen without supervision at the intersection of North Carson Street and Imperial Way. The reporting party watched the children until Child Protective Services arrived. The two children were later placed with their aunt.

• A report of a DUI driver on Dayton Valley Road at 12:32 a.m. Tuesday.


• Vandalism was reported on West Street in Yerington at 12:34 a.m. Tuesday


• A domestic dispute in the 2800 block of Tonopah Street in Silver Springs was reported at 12:40 a.m. Tuesday.


• A report of an automobile accident in the 800 block of Commerce Center drive in Fernley at 3:09 a.m. Tuesday.


• Hit-and-run accident reported in the 600 block of Magnetic Way in Mark Twain at 5:55 a.m. Tuesday.


• Vandalism reported in the 200 block of Mary Lou Lane in Fernley at 6:24 a.m. Tuesday.


• Brush fire reported on Desert Creek Road in Smith Valley at 8:18 a.m. Tuesday.


• An illegal burn was reported on Cottonwood Lane in Fernley at 8:19 a.m. Tuesday.


• A domestic dispute was reported in the 100 block of Rainbow Drive at 11:46 a.m. Tuesday in Mark Twain.


• Commercial burglary reported in the 300 block of Campbell Lane in Mason Valley at 12:03 p.m. Tuesday.


• Motor vehicle accident was reported at Highway 50 and Fortune Drive at 12:04 p.m. Tuesday.


• A brush fire was reported on Hudson Aurora Drives in Smith Valley at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday.


• An animal complaint was made on Inglewood Drive in Fernley at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday.


• A automobile accident was reported in the 400 block of Highway 339 at 5:40 p.m. Tuesday.


• A brush fire was reported on Highway 50 in Stagecoach at 5:54 p.m. Tuesday.


• A brush fire was reported on Highway 50 in Mound House at 6:09 p.m. Tuesday.


• A report of a DUI driver on Spruce Way in Silver Springs at 9:20 p.m. Tuesday.


• A domestic dispute was reported in the 200 block of James Court at 10:41 p.m. Tuesday in Mound House.


• A domestic dispute was reported at 11:06 p.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of Willow Way in Fernley.


Storey County


The following are some of the 28 calls to which deputies responded:


• A report of a bull snake coiled up in front of the Fourth Ward School in Virginia City at 10:09 a.m. Tuesday. The snake was removed.


• A report of a single gunshot fired in the area of Lousetown Road in Virginia City at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday.


• A report of a vandalized campaign sign on Cercle De La Cerese in Lockwood at 8:50 p.m. Tuesday.
