An upcoming question-and-answer forum will highlight candidates vying for the Carson City Ward 3 supervisor seat.
The moderated event will begin 6 p.m. Tuesday on the patio of Comma Coffee, 312 E. Carson St. Seating area is next to the cafe.
The incumbent and his three challengers have been invited, said Charles Kuhn, one of the hopefuls and organizer of the forum. Questions are encouraged.
"The event is being hosted by the candidates and will give the community the opportunity to know the candidates, ask questions, get answers and help residents decide who is best suited to represent them," Kuhn said.
Voters will be asked to choose from among Pete Livermore, who is seeking a third term as the Ward 3 supervisor, and contenders Kuhn, Joe Eiben and Neil Weaver, during the primary on Aug. 15.
If one of the four can obtain 50 percent plus one vote in the primary, a winner will be named based on the results. If no one reaches that vote count, then the top two vote-getters will face off during the general election on Nov. 7 to determine the winner.
Call Kuhn at 883-0883 for details.
