A funeral service for Cecil Lee Holley, 82, a 35-year Dayton resident, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Good Shepherd Wesleyan Church. Visitation will be Thursday and Friday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.
Mr. Holley died July 24, 2006, in Carson City. He was born July 6, 1924, in Twitty, Texas, to Samuel G. Holley and Willie L. Reynolds.
He married Wanda "Dollie" Holley on Nov. 23, 1943, in Littlefield, Texas.
Before moving to Dayton, Mr. Holley lived at Lake Tahoe for 20 years.
He was a rancher and a plumbing contractor.
He served in the U.S. Army as a sergeant during World War II.
He was a member of the Good Shepherd Weslyan Church for many years.
He was preceded in death by his wife.
Among his survivors are his sons Billie Joe Holley of Rogersville, Tenn., and Bobby Ray Holley of Sparks; sister, Mae Coate of Whitefield, Okla.; brother, Troy F. Holley of Sparks; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Burial will take place at the Dayton Cemetery.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
