The California Department of Fish and Game (DF&G) scheduled a series of Lake Davis/Northern Pike public workshops for this summer.
Those workshops are in connection with the anticipated release later this summer of the Draft Environmental Impact Report/Environmental Impact Statement (DEIR/EIS) for the proposed Lake Davis Pike Eradication project.
They provide the public with the opportunity to hear presentations from experts on four topic areas related to the DEIR/EIS and to ask questions to help them understand the document and to aide in their review and comment on the document.
The final workshop is:
Aug. 10: Economic Impacts of Pike, 6 p.m., Portola United Methodist Church, 396 Second Ave., Portola. Pike presence and absence affect both local and statewide economics; this workshop will explore the potential economic impacts of pike.
