(Staff reports) One of two female prison escapees remains at large after two weeks.
The two walked away from Silver Springs Conservation Camp on May 29.
They were seen getting into a blue Jeep Wrangler outside the fence 20 miles east of Carson City.
Director of Corrections Glen Whorton said Monday one of the two - Robon Bruner, 29, was recaptured the next day in Searchlight south of Las Vegas.
But Veronica Peterson, 36, has so far evaded capture. She is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall with blonde hair and blue eyes. She was serving 12-36 months for possession of a stolen vehicle.
Whorton said prison investigators and Southern Nevada law enforcement are still following leads and hope to recapture her.
Meanwhile, Bruner faces escape charges, as does her boyfriend, Jeffrey Arthur, who authorities believe drove the Jeep in the escape.
